Islamabad:The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) conducted a targeted raid on a call centre operating in G-6, Islamabad, as part of its ongoing crackdown against organised cybercrime and fraudulent call-centre networks.

According to the NCCIA, the operation was conducted on the basis of credible intelligence after obtaining approval from the competent authority and a search warrant.

Foreign nationals and Pakistani individuals allegedly involved in organised cybercrime were not present at the premises at the time of the operation.

The agency said digital devices and other relevant material were seized from the premises and sent for forensic examination.

The operation forms part of the NCCIA's continued efforts against organised cybercrime, fraudulent call centres and networks allegedly targeting victims through deceptive digital scams.

The agency said further details would be shared after completion of the investigation and verification process.
