Karachi: Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi has said no madrissah or mosque will be closed and there is no reality in the propaganda about closure of mosques and madaris.

" there is no substance in the propaganda about closure of mosques and madaris. No madrisah or mosque will be closed, he said this during his meeting with Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri chairman Sunni Tehreek in Karachi Wednesday.

Both of them exchanged views on religious harmony, apprehensions about madaris and mosques and forging unity and solidarity in the country. ,

Senior minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon and provincial minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also accompanied interior minister in the meeting.

Paying tributes to Ulema on their religious, social and national services Interior minister said Ulema have always played a vital role in the development and stability of the country.

He stressed that religious harmony, tolerance and national unity is need of hour.

Pakistan has embarked upon on the journey to development.

Interior minister said Islam is religion of love , peace and tolerance. There is no room for violence in it.

All schools of thought will have to play a positive and constructive role.

Protesting within ambit of law is right of everyone . In the prevailing situation need is there we all should get united in the national interest.

Other leaders of Sunni Tehreek including Allama Bilal Abbas Qadri, Allama Bilal Salim Qadri, Tayyab Hussain Qadri, Suleman Qadri, Shahbaz Qadri, Imran Qadri and Darvesh Raza Abbasi were also present on the occasion.
