NOV 26 protest case: Aleema Khan appears in court after issuance of arrest warrants for 11th time

Rawalpindi: Aleema Khan sister of PTI founder Imran Khan has appeared in the court following issuance of her arrest warrants for 11th time.

Aleema Khan reached the court for appearance in connection with the case registered against her on November 26 protest.

Faisal Malik counsel for Aleema Khan and special prosecutor Zahir Shah alongwith his team too reached the court.

Other 10 accused in the case and five witnesses were also present in the court.

Judge Amjid Ali Shah of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) took up the case for hearing

Aleema Khan while challenging the terrorism clause 7 ATA included in the case prayed the court to declare it illegal.

Aleema Khan requested the court to revoke all arrest warrants issued against her and restore her freezed bank accounts.

The court while admitting the petition seeking revocation of 7 ATA clause for hearing issued notice to state counsel and sought arguments on November 26.

The court abolished the process of forfeiture of Aleema Khan property in favor of state.

The hearing lasted over one hour.

The state counsel strongly opposed the revocation of arrest warrants and restoration of bank accounts.

The court while ordering Aleema Khan to appear before it on next hearing at every cost revoked all arrest warrants.

The court summoned all the five witnesses on next hearing.

Case is registered against Aleema Khan in connection with November 26 protest in police station Sadiq Abad.

She is charged with inciting PTI workers to violent protest, siege and ransom and interfering in state affairs.
