Rawalpindi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has indicted 10 accused including Aleema Khan sister of Imran Khan in November 26 protest case.
November 26 protest case which was registered in police station Sadiq Abad came up for hearing in ATC Wednesday.
The court summoned 5 prosecution witnesses on next hearing and adjourned the hearing of the case till October 17.
During the hearing of the case prosecution completed arguments on the petition filed by Aleema Khan challenging powers of jurisdiction of the court.
Following completion of arguments of prosecution , the counsel for the petitioner will give arguments on application on next hearing. 10 accused included Aleema Khan were indicted during the hearing of the case.
Aleema Khan appeared in the court along with her counsel Faisal Malik.
It is pertinent to mention here Aleema Khan had challenged the powers of jurisdiction of court under section 23 of anti terrorism act Wednesday October 15.
Upon completion of arguments of the prosecution the court indicted 10 accused including Aleema Khan.
The charge sheet was read out to the accused.
The accused however pleaded not guilty.
Upon it court summoned 5 witnesses including sub inspectors Zahir, Iqbal, Assistant sub inspectors Kazim Raza, Tariq Mehmood and constable Babar on October 17 in connection with regular trial.
The statements of prosecution witnesses will be recorded on next date.
The court dismissed interim bail plea of Seemabia Tahir, former candidate in National Assembly (NA) election nominated in two cases registered against her in police stations of Sadiq Abad and police station New Town due to her persistent absence.
The court ordered that the accused Seemabia Tahir be arrested and presented before it.
The court distributed copies of challan among the accused including Sheikh Rashid nominated in 11 cases related to May 9 incident besides adjourning the hearing till October 29.
