Islamabad: Only 65 members, or 20 percent of the current 332-member National Assembly, attended all eight sittings of the 29th Session, while 37 members, representing 11 percent of the House, did not attend any sitting, according to an attendance report released by FAFEN.

The 29th Session of the National Assembly comprised eight sittings held between August 17 and August 28, 2026.

The report showed that the fourth sitting recorded the highest attendance, with 247 members present, representing 74 percent of the current membership of the National Assembly.

The fifth sitting recorded the lowest attendance, with 179 MNAs present, or 54 percent of the total current membership.

According to the report, as many as 267 MNAs, representing 80 percent of the House, missed at least one sitting during the session.

Among cabinet members elected to the National Assembly, only one federal minister attended all eight sittings.

Three ministers, including two federal ministers and one minister of state, did not attend any sitting during the session.

The Prime Minister attended one sitting, while the Leader of the Opposition attended seven out of the eight sittings.

The report further noted that of the 26 federal ministers scheduled to respond to questions during Question Hour, only 12 were present on the day they were required to answer questions.

Similarly, of the eight ministers required to respond to Calling Attention Notices, four were marked present.
