Lahore: Secretary Local Government has disclosed in Lahore High Court (LHC) that only 5 public toilets for eunuchs and 10 public toilets of disabled persons are available across the Punjab.

Justice Raheel Kamran of LHC took up for hearing petition filed by Judicial Activism Panel Wednesday.

Advocate Azhar Siddique took up the plea citizens have to face difficulties due to lack of public toilets in Punjab while separate toilets are not available for eunuchs and disabled persons.

Secretary local government filed report in LHC on petition related to construction of toilets in Punjab.

It was said in the report there are 1420 public toilets available in Punjab.1293 public toilets are functional while 127 are dysfunctional.

There are 672 toilets for males and 568 public toilets for female in Punjab. Only 5 public toilets are available for eunuchs and 10 public toilets for disabled persons in Punjab.

The court directed the counsel to give arguments regarding petition on next hearing.
