Peshawar: Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi has said operation in Teerah was launched forcibly and without taking KP government into confidence.A jirga of notables and tribal elders was held under KP CM Sohail Afridi in district Khyber.Law and order situation in district Khyber and the problems facing those who have migrated from Tirah were discussed at length in the meeting.CM KP while ordering to provide every possible assistance to Tirah affectees said KP government will not leave Tirah affectees in lurch. The entire nation is united for help of those who have migrated from Tirah.Sohail Afridi said all political parties and school of thoughts are agreed on it that military operation is no solution to any problem. We want elimination of terrorism. We are peace loving people and we want restoration of peace.Following 22 major and 14000 small operations what is guarantee that peace will be established. If closed door decisions are imposed on people of Tirah these will not prove result oriented.H ad provincial government been taken into confidence then JOB would have been done with consensus by taking nation into confidence. But decisions are being made without taking provincial government into confidence. The operation was launched forcibly.He held tribal people rendered countless sacrifices for country. There is mindset which does not want Pushtoon particularly tribes become part of mainstream system.I have promised to my people to give pen instead of gun. We will stand in forefront for defence of country.
