Opposition should not hold any kind of negations with govt regarding 27th amendment: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

Mardan: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the opposition should not hold any kind of negations with the government regarding 27th amendment, adding that whosoever will do this will be considered the supporter of the amendment. He said that the lawyers should intensify struggle for the independence of judiciary.

This was stated by Emir JI Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing the District Bar Association Mardan. JI Deputy Chief Dr. Attaur Rehman, Emir JI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North Abdul Wassey and President Mardan Bar Asif Iqbal were also present on the occasion.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that at the time of passage of 26th Constitutional Amendment the rulers continue come and go and it resulted in slavery of the judiciary, adding that the same process has been started on 27th amendment and it will result in form of exploitation of the masses. He said that if the parliament of form 47 brings changes in the constitution and murders the justice then the lawyers should rise against it.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that our stance is clear regarding 27th amendment that we will not become part of any negotiations, adding that if any party will take part in it, it will be tantamount to supporting the amendment. He said that there is no need of alternation in judicial system but brining change it, which is the need of the hour. He said that the 27th amendment will be like 26th Constitutional Amendment, adding that no one knows what is it and from where its draft will come. He said that this is joke with the constitution and it will further weaken the judiciary. He said that it is being said that securing opinion of the judges in transfer will be abolished in 27th amendment, adding that the government is taking such steps to securing verdicts of its own choice.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that currently 27.5 million children are out of school and government schools are being handed over to the NGOs. He said that the education is not a charity but it is their fundamental right and this could not be divided in segments. He said that the state is not the name of positions but of masses. He said that one percent people are ruling 99 percent people.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we did not believe in coming into power through conspiracy but through public support and for this purpose we are convincing the masses. He said that until and unless the policy of American slavery is reviewed peace could not be established. He said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are two separate countries, adding that meaningful negotiations should have to be held with Afghanistan.
