Islamabad: Pakistan has demanded of international community to take action against possession of abandoned weapons by armed terrorist groups

During UN Security Council Arria-Formula meeting on Small Arms and Light Weapons Management in UN Sanctions Regimes Pakistan has expressed grave concern over possession and use of fatal illicit arms by so called Baloch Liberation army, Majid Brigade proscribed TTP and other terrorist organizations.

Counsellor at the Pakistan Mission, Syed Atif Raza stated that terrorist armed groups are in possession of illicit arms abandoned in Afghanistan, which are being used against civilians and armed forces of Pakistan

Terrorist organizations are provided external support and financing. from our principal adversary.

Pakistan counsellor demanded that international partners should recover stockpile of arms abandoned in Afghanistan besides stopping the terrorist groups from seeking access to arms. Effective steps be taken for closing black market of illicit arms.
