Islamabad: Pakistan on Monday expressed its deep condolences to the Government and people of the Syrian Arab Republic over the tragic loss of lives and extensive material damage caused by recent flash floods in north-west Syria, particularly in the regions of Idlib and Latakia.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government and people of Pakistan conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved families and said their thoughts and prayers were with the victims of the natural disaster. Pakistan also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the floods.
The statement said that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Syria during this difficult time and shares in their grief over the devastating impact of the floods.
