Pakistan nods yes to resume talks with Afghan Taliban on Turkiye’s request

Istanbul: Pakistan and Afghan Taliban have agreed on resuming talks in Istanbul.

According to sources Pakistan has shown willingness to resume the talks on the request of host Turkiye

Sources said Pakistani delegation which was all set to return to Pakistan will extend its stay in Istanbul so that the talks process could be moved ahead.

The decision to resume the talks has been made under the very objective that peace be given one more chance.

According to sources the main centre of the talks is Pakistan demand that that 'Afghanistan take clear, verifiable, and effective action against terrorists on its soil.

Pakistan has once again stressed Afghan soil should not be used against Pakistan for terrorism.

Well placed sources said resumption of dialogue process is being dubbed a significant movement forward for peace and stability in the region.
