Islamabad: On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the Palestinian people, condemning decades of denial of their rights and ongoing aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.

In his message, the Prime Minister highlighted the devastating human toll in Gaza, noting that more than 70,000 people, including women and children, have been martyred in recent years. He condemned the destruction of homes, hospitals, schools, and essential infrastructure, while praising the resilience and steadfastness of Palestinians in pursuing justice and self-determination.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for full accountability for war crimes and genocidal actions committed against Palestinians in accordance with international law. He welcomed opportunities presented by the High-Level Conference on the Two-State Solution and the Gaza Peace Plan, calling for a sustained ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access, and the full enablement of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). He also stressed the importance of a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian lands, including Gaza.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further noted that continued illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank constitutes a major violation of international law and a significant barrier to peace. Pakistan remains firmly committed to a just, comprehensive, and lasting resolution of the Palestinian issue, based on relevant UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions, supporting the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

He concluded by reiterating Pakistan's enduring solidarity with the Palestinian people, standing by them in their struggle for freedom, dignity, and peace.
