Pakistan, Turkish FMs express grave concern over rising tension in region

Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkey have expressed grave concern rising tension in the region.

While underscoring the need for de-escalation Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Ishaq Dar has said diplomacy and dialogue are the only way to resolve the problems.

IshaqDar spoke last evening with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the two discussed the evolving situation in the region and rising tension.

During the telephonic conversation the two agreed on importance of constructive dialogue for peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan reaffirmed the resolve to continue its role for promotion of peace in the region.
