Islamabad: Significant progress has come to fore during the talks on a proposed reciprocal trade agreement between Pakistan and US.
Both the countries reached consensus on several points by narrowing differences during the two days negotiations July 9-10 besides reaffirming resolve to give final shape to this agreement as soon as possible.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi talks were held in constructive and conducive environment and the basic objective behind them was to finalize proposed reciprocal trade agreement between Pakistan and US soon. .
Andrabi said Pakistani delegation was led by Commerce Secretary Jawad Paul who termed the negotiations positive and result oriented.
Significant progress was achieved on different trade related matters during the latest round of negotiations and both the sides agreed on further expanding mutual cooperation.
According to FO ongoing trade negotiations between Pakistan and US are being considered a significant movement forward for further fortifying economic ties and enhancing bilateral trade between two countries.
