Islamabad: Pakistan has expressed strong solidarity with the people and leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran amid ongoing unrest in the country, calling on all parties to distinguish between legitimate grievances and acts of violence or sabotage.

In a statement, Pakistan highlighted that while genuine expressions of concern should be addressed through internal dialogue, deliberate destruction of public property and attempts to desecrate national and religious symbols cannot be tolerated.

The statement also condemned foreign interference, citing provocative remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump and other American officials as examples of attempts to meddle in Iran's domestic affairs. It described such actions as a violation of the principles of sovereignty and non-intervention under the United Nations Charter.

Pakistan further criticized the double standards of Western powers, noting their silence during humanitarian crises such as the conflict in Gaza, while now portraying unrest in Iran as a struggle for 'rescue.'
