Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan will use cutting edge technology to defend its sovereignty.

Pakistan army adopted cutting edge technology under Field Marshal Asim Munir , he said adding Pakistan army achieved success in Marka -e-Haq through Autonomous Systems (RAS) and cyber technology. 60 percent drones are produced in the country, he said this while addressing. the Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad.

The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The prime minister also said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the armed forces had effectively integrated modern technologies.

He said autonomous systems and cybersecurity capabilities played an important role in defending the country's borders during Marka-e-Haq.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to employ advanced technologies to safeguard its sovereignty and announced that the government would introduce clear legislation and a comprehensive regulatory framework to promote autonomous capabilities in the defence sector.

Briefing was given to PM in RAS Expo.

PM said this exhibition and steps will make Pakistan a top safe country.

He added that Pakistan had also hosted the Indus AI Summit earlier this year, reflecting the government's commitment to promoting emerging technologies. Shehbaz Sharif said technologies that were once considered futuristic have now become a reality, with machines capable of making decisions and executing tasks independently.

During my childhood, black and white television was modern technology. Today the modern form of technology is before us. At present machines feel themselves . take fast decisions and implement them. What was dream has turned into reality today.
