Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned the continued threats issued by the Houthis militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Pakistan has said targeting trade with Saudi Arabia is unacceptable.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tahir Andrabi Pakistan has expressed concern over threats given by Houthis militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

Pakistan has reiterated unwavering support for the security, sovereignty and regional security.

FO said that any aggressive action against Pakistani-flagged vessels or Pakistani maritime interests will be considered threat to national security.

Any hostile act against Pakistani maritime interests will not be tolerated. FO spokesperson said Pakistan is determined for talks, diplomacy and defusing tension in the region. All parties should respect international laws besides ensuring the safety and security of international maritime shipping.
