Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while issuing notice to Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in the case against excluding candidates of CSS-2026 from examination has sought reply till February 17.

Muhammad Abu Bakar and other candidates have filed petition against FPSC in IHC.

Munir Ahmad advocate counsel for petitioner appeared in IHC.

Counsel Munir Ahmad said that they were prevented from entering into examination despite issuance of roll numbers for CSS-2026 examination

The candidates were fully eligible under advertisement published on December 7, 2025. Roll numbers too were issued to candidates.

Defence counsel said CSS examination was to start from February 04, 2026. The candidates had reached their seats in FPSC examination centre in Lahore.

The candidates were deprived of examination before first paper of English subject without any written order or explanation.

The petition said excluding students from examination without hearing them is blatant violation of set principles of natural justice.

The court while issuing notice to respondents sought report on February 17.
