Petition for stopping PTI Nov 24 protest: Why all the matters are not being dealt with politically: CJ IHC

Islamabad: During hearing of petition seeking court orders for stopping PTI November 24 protest , Islamabad High Court (IHC) has said to interior minister that maintaining law and order situation is his responsibility.Chief Justice (CJ) IHC has remarked I will issue order. My previous order is therein. Shutting the city, suspending mobile service, closing shops and business and placing containers is no solution to the problem. Why such things are not being dealt with politically. Staging protest is right of PTI. But they should see it as per rules and regulations. Whosoever are protesting it is their right but the basic rights of common man should also not be affected. I will issue an appropriate order.Interior minister appeared in the court and told that a delegation of Belarus is coming on November 24. We have to place containers on every other day. I will give details we have hired containers against what amount of fare.We don't stop protest but they should stage it in their areas. We have to protect red zone. I myself am opposed to place containers. We had arrested over 300 Afghanis last time. Our one policeman was martyred last time. I don't know it is being said it is Jehad. The CJ IHC remarked we will fix case again by issuing order with reference to it.The petition came up for hearing before CJ IHC Aamer Farooq Thursday.Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi, IG Islamabad, chief commissioner and interior secretary appeared in the court.Raja Rizwan Abbasi counsel for the petitioner and Advocate General Munawar Iqbal Dogal appeared in the court.
