Peshawar:Peshawar High Court (PHC) has adjourned hearing of Omar Ayub assets case till August 20.

Justice Syed Irshad Ali and Justice Dr Khurshid Iqbal heard the case Tuesday.

The counsel for petitioner said Election Commission (EC) issued notice to Omar Ayub regarding assets and initiated proceedings. Court awarded sentence to Omar Ayub. Perhaps he was de-seated after conviction.

Justice Syed Irshad Ali said he remains no more member of assembly now. Now he is not member of assembly then what is opinion of EC.

Counsel for EC told the court today there is a meeting in EC with reference to it. If he has hidden some thing then a criminal case can be made .

Justice Syed Irshad Ali said now what proceeding they will initiate when he remains no more member now.

Counsel for EC requested the court " give us time. There is meeting in EC in connection with this matter today. Some decision will be taken therein.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 20.
