Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has adjourned hearing of Sohail Afridi petition till October 7 against Election Commission notice on the matter of giving statement against government officers in Hari pur by polls.PHC bench comprising justice Arshid Ali and Justice Muhammad Fahim Wali took up the petition for hearing.The counsel for the petitioner and lawyers of Election Commission (EC) appeared in the court.As per media report, the counsel for Sohail Afridi while requesting the court to adjourn today's hearing said wakalat nama has been filed today. Therefore, hearing be adjourned.Justice Arshid Ali remarked it does not happen so.The court while giving last warning to the counsels of Sohail Afridi maintained no plea seeking adjournment of hearing of the case will be accepted after today at any cost.Additional Director General Law of EC Khurram Zeeshan told the court hearing has been adjourned for six times on the plea of petitioner so far.He raised objection on adjourning hearing repeatedly .According to Khurram Zeeshan the case has been heard in EC on merit. No objection was raised by Sohail Afridi during this.He said Sohail Afridi petition remains no more maintainable now.Additional Director General Law Commission told the court EC has made no decision in this case so far.The court while giving last warning to the counsels of Sohail Afridi maintained the case will not be adjourned after today.Justice Arshid Ali said if no one appears then the court will decide the case as per law.The court adjourned hearing of the case till October 7.
