PESHAWAR:Petition has been filed in Peshawar High Court (PHC) for recovery of PTI KP president Junaid Akbar.

The petition said Junaid Akbar has been lifted from CM house and shifted to unknown site.

The petition has been filed by nephew of Junaid Akbar through Muhammad Inam Yousufzai advocate making IG Police, CCPO and others respondents.

According to petitioner Junaid Akbar is provincial president of PTI KP. First he was kept detained in CM House and later he was shifted to some unknown site.

It has been said in the petition as per available information unknown persons lifted and took away Junaid Akbar in the presence of CCPO.

The petitioner took the plea CCPO was present on the occasion at the time of incident. Therefore, court should seek detailed report from him.

The court has been prayed through the petition to order for securing and preserving CCTV footage of the incident besides issuing directives to police for recovery of Junaid Akbar from unlawful custody.
