Peshawar:Peshawar High Court (PHC) has restrained Speaker National Assembly (NA) and chairman Senate from appointing opposition leader in both of the houses.A petition against de-notifying Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz by Election Commission (EC) came up for hearing before two members bench of PHC comprising justice Arshad Ali and Justice Khurshid Iqbal Tuesday.The court stopped speaker NA and Chairman Senate from making appointment of new opposition leaders in both the houses.The court also restrained EC from initiating further proceedings against Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz.The court adjourned hearing of the case till August 15.It is pertinent to mention here Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) had awarded sentence to Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz a few days back in May 9 cases. Consequently both had become disqualified.
