PM chairs Coalition parties meeting

Islamabad: In the meeting of coalition parties chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the political situation of Punjab has been discussed in detail and the ruling coalition has asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to stop blaming the institutions and gather members for the vote of confidence for Parvez Elahi.

Government sources said that an important meeting of the leaders of the coalition parties was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting was attended by Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Federal Ministers Maulana Asad ur Rehman, Ishaq Dar, Sherry Rehman, Special Assistant Fahad Hussain and Mian Iftikhar of ANP discussed in detail the political, economic and current situation of Punjab.

It was discussed that Pervaiz Elahi’s vote of confidence is a constitutional requirement. Participants expressed satisfaction at the hearing of the Lahore High Court on Wednesday.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on this occasion that the establishment is apolitical in this whole situation. Imran Khan is an incompetent leader who has no future.

In the meeting, the possible strategy of the federal government in case of any change in Punjab was also discussed.

The measures taken to prevent inflation and flour shortage were also discussed and the Federal Minister for National Food Security was instructed to inform the public about the facts in this regard.
