Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed to remove all obstacles hindering in the early completion of Jinnah Medical Complex at the earliest with mutual cooperation of all the concerned institutions.
PM Shehbaz Sharif issued these directives while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad on Monday to review the progress on the construction of Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Center.
The Prime Minister said the quality construction of Jinnah Medical Complex, equipped with all modern medical facilities, has been completed under a well-planned strategy.
PM Shehbaz Sharif also instructed that a subsidiary medical centre should be established under the Jinnah Medical Complex to provide healthcare services to the local population.
He further directed to engage need-based international experts to ensure the complex meets global standards of healthcare and research excellence.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed that the required land for the project has been acquired, and a design consultant has also been finalized.
It was further informed that third-party validation would be carried out in line with the Prime Minister's directives.
Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema and other senior officials attended the meeting.
