Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said welfare, development and prosperity of the people of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan remain among the government's top priorities.
Talking to Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam in Islamabad, PM Shehbaz Sharif said all possible measures would continue to be taken in this regard.
The Prime Minister said agenda for the development of AJK and the prosperity of its people will be advanced under the vision and guidance of PML-N President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
During the meeting, the Federal Minister briefed the Prime Minister in detail on matters regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly ongoing development projects and initiatives aimed at public welfare. He also briefed the Prime Minister on the recent elections in Azad Kashmir.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is utilizing all possible resources to provide the youth with opportunities for modern education, skills development, employment and entrepreneurship.
He was talking to Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Prime Minister directed that the ongoing projects under the Prime Minister's Youth Programme be made more effective, result-oriented and better aligned with the genuine needs of young people, while further accelerating implementation of priority projects.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said the youth of the country are our most valuable asset and the guarantee of Pakistan's bright future.
The meeting also discussed further expanding the scope of the ongoing educational, skills development, digital and welfare programmes under the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, as well as ensuring their
effective and transparent implementation.
