Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi police have registered domestic violence and assault case against husband of female Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).

Women police station has registered case on the petition of female ADC Maliha Sahar under the charges of psychological and physical violence.

Maliha Sahar in her application given to police has requested for taking prompt action regarding rescue, safety and legal proceedings.

She took the plea that her husband Jawad threatens to kill her besides subjecting her to mental and physical torture.

" I have been facing brutalities of different nature for several months despite being mother of two children.

On October 2 evening my husband while subjecting me to torture snatched my mobile phone forcibly and locked up me in the room. This way he stopped me from meeting my children and family by keeping me in habeas corpus.

As per context of the case her husband kept on torturing her by frightening her and threatening to kill her. Due to it I and my children are facing physical and life threat and threat to respect and prestige.

The injury marks on my body and evidence of scene be obtained and they be given documentary shape. Husband be stopped from using children to pressurize me.

Police have registered case under section 342 and 506 of Pakistan Penal Code on the application filed by Maliha Sahar .
