Islamabad: Competition Appellate Tribunal (CAT) has wrapped up appeal plea of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) in poultry cartel case.
The tribunal upheld the decision of Competition commission after the allegation of making the portal by PPA for enhancing the prices was proved.
The tribunal ordered PPA to pay fine amounting to Rs 2.50 crore.
Counsel for PPA said concession be given keeping in view decision by Supreme Court in such case.
The tribunal reduced the penalty from Rs 5 crore to Rs 2.50 crore on PPA plea.
