ISLAMABAD: Preparations are underway to shift additional financial burden of billion of rupees to electricity consumers for one month amid the reports power tariff is likely to be increased by Rs 5 per unit .Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed application in NEPRA seeking hike in power tariff where by increase in tariff has been sought under fuel adjustment for the month of February.NEPRA will hear CPPA application today on Thursday. In the event of its approval, an additional financial burden of Rs 40 billion will be shifted to the consumers.
