Islamabad: The central and parliamentary leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) strongly condemned the suicide attack at an Imam Bargah in Tralai, Islamabad, calling it a cowardly and inhumane act. The leaders expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Member of National Assembly Dr. Nafisa Shah said the terrorist elements are enemies of Pakistan’s progress and prosperity, targeting innocent people, and described them as beasts rather than humans. She emphasized that PPP has always confronted terrorism and continues to stand firmly against such acts.
Senator Salim Mandviwala condemned the attack as cowardly, offered condolences to the bereaved families, and prayed for the injured. He urged the government, law enforcement agencies, and hospitals to provide immediate medical aid and complete protective facilities to the victims.
MNA Naz Baloch stated that terrorists are open enemies of Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, targeting innocent civilians, and reiterated that PPP remains steadfast in the fight against terrorism.
Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program and Senator Rubina Khalid expressed deep grief over the incident, stating that terrorists have no place in Pakistan and highlighting PPP’s consistent stance against oppression and violence.
PPP Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman described targeting innocent citizens as a cowardly act and prayed for the martyrs while urging party workers to donate blood for the injured. She emphasized that the fight against enemies of peace will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
PPP leaders reaffirmed that the entire nation is united against terrorism and that such incidents cannot weaken Pakistan’s resolve to combat extremism.
