Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized that effective coordination between the federal and provincial governments is essential for peace, development and public welfare in Balochistan. He was talking to Balochistan Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti in Islamabad.

The President said Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province by area, deserves special attention and resources. He said every effort by foreign backed terrorists to obstruct the development of Balochistan would be foiled at all costs.

The President expressed confidence that the day is not far when terrorism would be completely eliminated from Balochistan.

The President was briefed on the overall situation in Balochistan and the ongoing development initiatives in the province.
