President Zardari, PM Shehbaz pay heartfelt tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have paid heartfelt tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who embraced martyrdom for the sake of peace and security of our homeland. They said that the welfare and well-being of the families of our martyrs remain among the Government's foremost responsibilities.

This was stated by President Asif Ali Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif in their separate messages on the occasion of Police Martyrs Day.

President Zardari said '??On this solemn day, I pay heartfelt tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who embraced martyrdom for the sake of peace and security of our homeland. Their exemplary courage, firm dedication and ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation will always inspire pride and command the deepest respect of every citizen of Pakistan'.

President Zardari said that our police force remains at the front lines in fight against crime, terrorism and violent extremism. Displaying sound tactical skills during targeted operations, they have proven their professional excellence towards disruption of criminal and extremist networks. It is profoundly heartening to witness their unwavering commitment and invaluable sacrifices for protecting innocent lives, upholding the rule of law and ensuring domestic peace and security'.

President Zardari said 'Today I must acknowledge with highest degree of appreciation, the demonstration of valour, and the countless sacrifices rendered by our police personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Their agile, swift and decisively successful response during encounters with terrorists and their foreign hostile abettors is highly commendable. ?Today, we salute the patience and resilience of the families of our martyrs, whose sacrifices are held in high esteem by the entire nation. These honorable families' welfare and their socio-economic support is our collective responsibility. Today, ?we also reaffirm our resolve to further strengthen and better equip our police institutions by enhanced training, application of modern technology and enabling them to perform their duties with efficiency, confidence and honour'.

President Zardari said 'On this day, I also pay rich tribute to the brave men and women of our police who continue to serve courageously and exercise high professional norms, without fearing their live, in defence of our nation's peace and security. ?The police are a vital pillar of our social fabric, serving not only as guardians of law and order but also as protectors of community trust and cohesion. Their service provides the stability upon which families, businesses and institutions thrive. In honouring their sacrifices, we recognise that a secure and just environment is the foundation of collective progress. We express deep gratitude to our police force whose selfless devotion has been pivotal in securing a safe future for the people of Pakistan'.

Meanwhile PM Shehbaz Sharif in his message said 'On the solemn occasion of Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Police, I, on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, pay profound tribute to the brave officers and personnel of Pakistan Police who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty in defence of our beloved homeland. Our police have displayed exceptional professionalism, unflinching resolve, and have steadfastly stood at the forefront of the nation's fight against terrorism, violent extremism, and crime. Their distinguished service deserves the nation's deepest admiration and enduring gratitude'.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the unforgettable sacrifices of our police martyrs have played a pivotal role in safeguarding the lives and property of our citizens, upholding the rule of law, preserving public order, and reinforcing the writ of the State. 'Today, the entire nation salutes these valiant sons and daughters of Pakistan whose selfless devotion to duty has made our communities safer and our future more secure. On this occasion, we also pay heartfelt tribute to the families of our martyrs whose patience, resilience, and fortitude in the face of immeasurable loss reflect extraordinary strength and dignity. Their sacrifices are an enduring part of our national story' PM Shehbaz Sharif said.

Prime minister said that the welfare and well-being of the families of our martyrs remain among the Government's foremost responsibilities. We are steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that they receive every possible support, including access to quality education, the best available healthcare, and comprehensive welfare initiatives. Fulfilling this sacred national obligation shall remain an unwavering priority of the Government, he said.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said 'As we honour the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by our martyrs in defence of the nation, we renew our pledge to equip our Police with every facility and resource required to discharge their vital national responsibilities effectively. Enhancing their professional capacity will remain a national security priority. Let us reaffirm our collective resolve to uphold the rule of law, safeguard justice, eradicate the scourge of terrorism and crime in all its manifestations, and work together in unity to build a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation that truly honours the supreme sacrifices of its martyrs'.
