Lahore: Proposal is under consideration to extend summer vacation in schools in Punjab province till August 31. Summer vacations are drawing to close but no final decision could be made whether schools will open on August 15 or otherwise.

According to Education department sources no decision has so far been made about opening the schools . Proposal is under consideration to extend vacations till August 31 due to suffocation and extremely hot weather.

Education Minister Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat has said consultation is underway with reference to summer vacations in schools. Decision for extending the summer vacations in schools or otherwise will soon be taken.
