Peshawar: PTI leader Khurram Zeeshan has been elected as Senator on vacant seat of Senate from KP assembly.
As per details Khurram Zeeshan from PTI and Taj Muhammad Afridi from opposition contested the Senate poll. Khurram Zeeshan got 91 votes while Taj Afridi secured 45 votes.
4 opposition members did not cast the vote. They include Akram Durrani from JUI-F, Nadia Sher from PTI-Parliamentarian, Ali Hadi from PML-N and Farzana Sher from PPP.
Ahsan Ullah Khan from PK-115 cast first vote while minority member Gurpal Singh also cast his vote.
Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi, speaker assembly Babar Saleem Swati, Amjid Ali, Shafi Ullah, Aurangzeb Khan Orakzai, Sher Ali Afridi, Aftab Alam Afridi, Riaz Khan, Abdul Kabir Khan, Ajab Gul Wazir , Syed Qasim Ali Shah and other members cast their vote.
CM KP left for Rawalpindi to meet PTI founder after casting the vote.
