Rawalpindi: PTI founder Imran Khan has challenged statements of 10 witnesses taken on whatsapp in GHQ attack case. According to media reports, the petition filed in the court said there is no legal status of statements of witnesses taken on whatsapp.

Open court jail trial be sought again.

It has been said in the petition the witnesses cannot be cross questioned whose statements we have not heard. These witnesses be again summoned and their statements be recorded afresh to meet the norms of justice.

The court while admitting this petition for hearing issued notice to prosecutor.

The court issued order to the lawyers of the respondents to give their arguments on this petition during next hearing on November 5.

Later talking to media men outside Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Faisal Malik counsel for PTI founder said hearing of GHQ attack case was held on Wednesday. The entire legal team of Imran Khan appeared in the court. We hoped that proceedings would be initiated in respect of case. However hearing was adjourned.
