ISLAMABAD: Political committee of PTI has nominated Sheikh Waqas Akram Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) instead of Sher Afzal. PTI looked confused over the selection of chairman PAC. First Sher Afzal Marwat was nominated then Sahibzada Hamid Raza and now the political committee has nominated Sheikh Waqas Akram who is MNA from Jhang. Umar Ayub, opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) will inform speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq in writing. Earlier PTI founder had directed Shibli Faraz to resolve the matter of PAC chairman. Senator Shibli Faraz had referred this matter to political committee. Name of Sheikh Waqas Akram was finalized in political committee with majority vote. Chairman Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Sahibzada Hamid Raza has been informed about the decision of political committee. Chairman SIC Hamid Raza had also regretted to become chairman of any committee. He was among those who had presented name of Shaikh Waqas Akram for chairmanship of PAC.
