Sargodha: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Sargodha has awarded 10 years prison sentence each to 70 accused including opposition leader in Punjab Assembly (PA) Ahmad Khan Bhachar and Ahmad Chatha MNA in May 9 case.
According to report prison sentence was awarded to the accused in case number 72/2023.
The case was registered in police station Moosa Khel , Mianwali.
Case was registered on rioting, vandalizing and torching the property under anti terrorism clauses.
10 years prison sentence has been awarded to PTI opposition leader in PA Ahmad Khan Bhachar, Ahmad Chatha MNA and other workers in May 9 case.
Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar and MNA Ahmad Chatha are likely to be disqualified and de-seated following award of sentence.
No accused including opposition leader Ahmad Khan Bhachar was present in the court at the time of announcement of decision.
Court had granted exemption from attendance to 32 accused including Ahmad Khan Bhachar.
