Karachi: According to an official press release, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, including Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja, former Speaker National Assembly and central leader Asad Qaiser, Sardar Latif Khosa, Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, General Secretary Sindh Dr. Masroor Sial, Karachi President Raja Azhar, former MNA Faheem Khan, Parliamentary Leader in the Sindh Assembly Shabbir Qureshi, Members of the Provincial Assembly Sajjad Ali Soomro, Chaudhry Owais, Dawa Khan Sabir, along with other leaders and workers, visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The PTI leaders paid homage at the resting place of the founder of Pakistan, offering prayers and placing floral wreaths. However, despite their status, the administrative authorities denied PTI's central leaders access through the VIP gate, forcing them to walk to the mausoleum for the tribute.

Addressing the media outside the mausoleum, PTI Secretary General Barrister Salman Akram Raja, representing party leader Imran Khan, emphasized the timeless example set by Quaid-e-Azam. 'Our entire political ideology is based on his principles. He envisioned a democratic Pakistan where humanity triumphs over all divisions of race and religion,' he said. He added that the PTI follows the ideologies of both Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal in its political activities.

Salman Akram Raja also expressed PTI's stance on issues in Sindh, criticizing the government's handling of water resources and law and order. 'Sindh's farmers are deprived of water, and the region faces serious security concerns due to the presence of unrepresentative figures in assemblies. We stand with the people of Sindh in their struggles. Our entry into politics was not driven by a lust for power but by a desire to serve the people and restore their rights,' he asserted.

He further remarked that Quaid-e-Azam had envisioned a political landscape where no institution would intervene in politics. 'The source of politics in Pakistan is not any institution but the people themselves,' Raja stressed.

Former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, in a conversation with the media, highlighted the recent political developments. "We have been in discussions with the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), and our working relationship is strengthening," Qaiser said. He emphasized that PTI has a strong base in Karachi, winning 22 National Assembly and 44 Provincial Assembly seats in the last general elections, which were later stolen by fraudulent means.

Asdad Qaisar said that the situation in Sindh, , is dire with rising lawlessness, water theft, and a lack of basic public services. "The people of Sindh deserve better. We have seen what the PPP's rule has done to this region," he stated.

Advocate Sardar Latif Khosa, another senior PTI leader, spoke on the supremacy of the law and the constitution. "Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a champion of the rule of law. Sadly, on Sunday the constitution is was disregarded, and the right to govern has been taken away from the people. Only through adherence to the constitution can this country thrive," Khosa remarked.

Haleem Adil Sheikh, PTI's Sindh President, expressed his discontent over the treatment the party received at the Quaid's mausoleum. "It is disheartening that the doors of the mausoleum were closed to us. The leadership of our party came to pay respects to the Father of the Nation, but our vehicles were denied entry," he said. He said, "On Sunday, we have come to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation at his mausoleum. To make Pakistan greater, we must adopt the principles laid down by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and adhere to the Constitution of Pakistan. We must believe in the rule of the people."

He continued, stating that PTI remains committed to addressing the issues of the people of Sindh, particularly the ongoing water crisis and the destruction caused by the PPP government over the past 17 years.

'Education, health, and essential services have been neglected under PPP's rule. The people of Sindh must rise up to reclaim their rights,' Sheikh added.
