PTI secures six out of the 11 Senate seats contested in KP

Lahore: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has secured six out of the 11 Senate seats contested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results from the provincial assembly election.All 145 members of the KP Assembly cast their votes. As per initial outcomes, PTI candidates have emerged victorious on a mix of general, technocrat, and women's seats.Among the winners, PTI's Murad Saeed bagged a general seat with 26 votes, while Faisal Javed Khan and Pir Noorul Haq Qadri also secured general seats, receiving 22 and 21 votes respectively.PTI's Rubina Naz was declared successful on a women's seat with 89 votes, and Mirza Muhammad Afridi won another general seat with 21 votes. On the technocrat seat, PTI's Azam Khan Swati secured victory while securing 89 votes.Meanwhile, the Pakistan Peoples Party's Rubina Khalid won a women's seat while securing 52 votes, Talha Mahmood a general seat while securing 17 votes, while JUI-F's Dilawar Khan bagged the technocrat seat while securing 54 vo tes and Ataul Haq Darvesh general seat while securing 18 votes. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Niaz Ahmed secured victory on general seat while securing 18 votes.Meanwhile PML-N candidate Hafiz Abdul Karim secured victory while securing 243 votes in Punjab Assembly on technocrat seat. PTI candidate Mehar Abdul Sattar secured 99 votes. Total 345 votes were polled in Punjab senate election out of which three were rejected.
