Lahore: Spokesperson of Agriculture Department said that Minister for Agriculture, Punjab Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, directed officials to offer Namaz-i-Istasqa (prayer for rain) on Friday across all formations of the department, from the provincial level down to the Union Council level, in response to the ongoing dry weather conditions.

At the provincial level, the main congregation for Namaz-i-Istasqa was held at Agriculture House, Lahore, where Director General Agricultural Information Punjab, Naveed Asmat Kahloon, along with other officers and employees, participated.

The spokesperson further stated that special prayers were made for rainfall, which is expected to have a positive impact on wheat and other crops in the province,(Insha'Allah).
