Lahore: Education Minister Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat while declaring year 2025 a year of betterment in education has said decision has been taken to provide lap tops to thousands of students in private educational institutions.

Referring to performance of education department in 2025 he said 2025 like other years remained the year of steps for betterment in education.

He indicated 20000 ghost enrolment was abolished in educational institutions. Teacher shortage was overcome due to rationalization of 26000 teachers. Historical work was done on syllabus reforms.

Government focused on early childhood education. ECE rooms were built in 10000 schools. 11 lac students are being benefited from nutrition program daily.

268 schools were upgraded. 37 cases in respect of harassment of teachers were decided.

Decision has been taken to provide 10000 lap top to students of private educational institutions.
