Lahore: Punjab government has decided to restore board examination system in respect of 8th class all over the province. The decision was taken in an important meeting held here under education minister Punjab Rana Sikandar Hayat. Several important matters with reference to educational reforms came under discussion in the meeting of board of governors of PECTAA. While talking in the meeting provincial minster said I am restoring the board examination system for 8th class.

It was also decided to further strengthen internal examination system of class 5 class 7. Education minister directed to make internal examination system from class 5th to 7th more effective. He said PECTAA will hold 8th class examination in Punjab. Strategy in this regard be worked out in next 30 days.

Board examination for 8th class was abolished 5 years back.
