Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while issuing notice to Prime Minister (PM) through principal secretary has sought reply on the petition against reappointment of chairman HEC Dr Mukhtar Ahmad.IHC issued notice to federation through ministry of education and Dr Mukhtar.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb while issuing notice to respondents have sought reply till October 01.The written order regarding hearing of petition filed by associate professor of Islamia College Peshawar has been issued. .According to order the reappointment of chairman HEC as per August 7 notification of establishment division has been challenged in the petition.Under section 65 of HEC ordinance , Dr Mukhtar has been appointed again chairman for one year.According to counsel of the petitioner chairman HEC cannot be appointed again on this post and he cannot be reappointed till such time he participates in competition process and proves his capability.According to counsel advertisement for news papers was issued in c onnection with appointment against the post of chairman HEC but it was stopped without any process.According to petitioner the notification regarding reappointment of Dr Mukhtar came after stopping the process. It is not correct as per rules.The order said court issues notice to the respondents to file parawise reply on petition.The next hearing will take place on October 01.
