Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given four days time to police to file detailed report on the petition regarding recovery of missing citizen Nasim Butt.

Court has expressed annoyance over poor performance of police.

Justice Muhammad Azam has remarked one man has disappeared and you are sitting without any worries. We show more leniency to you and you take undue benefit of it. Had any person of police disappeared then would police have investigated the matter this way.

He gave these remarks during hearing of petition filed by wife for recovery of her missing husband.

Sajid Cheema, DSP legal of federal police appeared in the court and told we have taken CCTV footage from where 3 vehicles can be seen. We have not been able to trace the number of vehicles.

IHC expressed resentment over poor investigation of Islamabad police .

Justice Muhammad Azam remarked one man is missing and you are sitting with ease. We show too much leniency to you and you take undue benefit of it. Had any police man disappeared then would police have conducted investigation this way.

DSP legal requested the court one week be given to us for further investigation.

The court however directed federal police to file detailed report within four days besides adjourning the hearing of the case.

It is pertinent to mention here citizen Nasim Butt is missing since July 9, 2025.
