Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has said that the governments formed after the 2018 and 2024 general elections were the result of interference by powerful quarters.He warned that rulers who come into power through 'Form 47' cannot win the hearts of the people and stressed that Jamaat-e-Islami would further intensify its struggle for national improvement.Addressing the concluding session of the Central Majlis-e-Shura meeting held at Mansoorah on Tuesday, Rehman stated that his party would cooperate with the Tehreek Tahafuz Aain Pakistan only on the issue of constitutional supremacy. However, he clarified that JI would neither become part of any alliance nor provide political support to any group.He expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan, saying that the conditions were extremely alarming. He urged the rulers to formulate policies that reduce terrorism rather than contributing to its growth.During the meeting, discussions were held on the country's overall political situation, law and order, economic conditions, global developments, and other internal affairs. The participants also deliberated on Pakistan's foreign policy and issues related to Palestine and Kashmir. Organizational matters and the 'Badal Do Nizam' (Change the System) movement were also reviewed. The Majlis-e-Shura unanimously passed several resolutions on domestic and international matters.Rehman said that people in all four provinces are suffering due to poor governance. He criticized the government for failing to improve the economy or ensure peace. He noted that the people of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are trapped in terrorism, Sindh is plagued by bandit rule, Karachi has become a hub of problems, and Punjab is effectively turning into a police state. He added that the Punjab government's claims of improvement are limited to advertisements only. Questioning governance in Punjab, he asked why government schools are being sold and why farmers in the provi nce are the most distressed.He emphasized the need to accelerate efforts for social change and urged party workers to focus on resolving public issues. He appreciated the formation of public committees and announced plans to further expand them. He reiterated that Jamaat-e-Islami would not engage in electoral alliances, stating that past experiences have proven such alliances to be ineffective for the party.The Jamaat chief also reaffirmed his party's commitment to the rights of youth and women and expressed deep concern over the spread of drugs in society. He instructed party workers to intensify efforts to eradicate this menace. Rehman renewed his pledge to continue the struggle for the people of Palestine and Kashmir and warned the rulers against taking steps that go against the wishes of the public.
