Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said In the second phase, Afghan Citizen Card Holders have been given a deadline of 31st of this month to voluntarily leave Pakistan.
He said this while presiding over a high level meeting held here with reference to return of Afghan citizens card holders Friday.
Interior minister reviewed the steps taken in connection with return of Afghan citizens card holders .
He said federal and provincial governments are in constant contact in regard to implementation of decision of return of Afghan citizens card holders.
He held federal government will extend full cooperation to the provincial governments regarding the repatriation of Afghan Citizen Card Holders.
Mohsin Naqvi said the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals has been continuing since November 2023.
The Interior Minister said Minister of State Talal Chaudhry will visit the provinces to address any issues arising in the repatriation process.
A committee has also been formed on the suggestions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mohsin Naqvi directed that foreign nationals be treated well during the repatriation process.

Meeting was attended by state minister for interior Talal Chaudhry, interior secretary, secretary Kashmir affairs and SAFRAN, chief secretaries of all provinces, IGs, DG FIA, IG Islamabad police, DC Islamabad, representatives of ministry of foreign affairs, ministry of law and security institutions and others.
Chief secretaries and IGs informed the interior minister about the steps taken for repatriation of Afghan citizens card holders.
It was told in the briefing that all preparations have been made with regard to repatriation of Afghan citizens card holders.
