Islamabad: Russian Ambassador Albert P. Khorev met with Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate of Pakistan and Chairman of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen party.

The sides exchanged views on bilateral and regional cooperation, with a focus on humanitarian, scientific, educational and cultural ties.

Ambassador Khorev expressed hope for a peaceful resolution of all political differences and the achievement of broad national consensus in the interests of the Pakistani people.

Raja Nasir Abbas thanked Russia for its efforts to promote regional peace and advance interregional Eurasian cooperation projects.
