Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said salt was rubbed in wounds of Punjab when calamity hit and now they ask me to apologize.
She said this while addressing inauguration ceremony of Electric buses in provincial capital here Friday.
She stated that first metro bus, orange train and electric bus was launched in Lahore. I have come here to gift more 40 buses to Lahore.
She pointed out overall 70 buses will reach Lahore till December. Providing best facilities to people is our top priority. People say that when they come to Lahore it seems as if we have come to some other country
She said we are launching electric bus service in every nook and corner of Punjab. One person from Mianwali reached the highest slot of power but he could not give a single bus service to people . People of Mianwali sees with delight that Maryam Nawaz's bus has come.
We gave state of the art transport to people of Punjab. We installed AC and provided Y-Fi facility. Wheel chair facility is being extended to special persons.
We are going to make thousands of villages as ideal villages in Punjab. The buses provided to Sheikhurpura, Kasur and Faisalabad are numbering 500. I don't want that it is said that Maryam Nawaz is developing only Lahore. Development of entire Punjab is my mission.
She pointed that serpents bit 175 persons and we were ready to face this situation. All the lives were saved through timely treatment.
We are providing minority cards for financial assistance of minorities. Punjab government extended free treatment to 11 lac flood affectees.
She held Pakistan is duppata for heads of women and turban for heads of men. When catastrophe hit then salt was rubbed in wounds of Punjab. The worst flood of history hit Punjab. People of Sindh, Balochistan and KP all are my people. They are my brothers and sisters.
She said we all are first Pakistanis and then Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi and Pathan. when cloud burst occurred in KP then I asked Ali Amin Gandapur by telephone he needs what assistance.
She reiterated if some one speaks against Punjab then she will reply to him. When calamity rocked Punjab then people from one province criticized wrongly. Asif Zardari is respectful for me and Bilawal is my younger brother. But I was grieved.
When I talk about water then it is not about Jati Umra. I talk about flood in all over Punjab, They say Maryam Nawaz should apologize. Why Maryam Nawaz should apologize. Your spokespersons should apologize.
