Sana Yusuf murder case: Counsel for the accused directed to file new attested power of attorney


Islamabad: District and Sessions Court Islamabad has adjourned hearing of Sana Yusuf murder case till April 28 besides directing counsel for the accused to file new attested power of attorney.



It has been disclosed in the court the power of attorney of the counsel of the accused is not attested by jail authorities or court.



On the other hand the statements of the witnesses could not be recorded due to absence of the accused.



Additional Session Judge Afzal Majoka took up the case for hearing on Monday.



The accused Umar Hayat could not be presented in the court due to security reasons.



The option of recording statement through video link from Adiala jail could not become possible due to load shedding.



Sardar Qadeer counsel for the plaintiff and 3 witnesses appeared in the court.



The statements of the witnesses could not be recorded due to absence of the accused.



The court while directing the counsel for the accused to file new attested power of attorney adjourned the hearing of the case till April 28.
