Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has abolished fine of Rs 5 lac imposed on Ayub Medical college.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi heard the case on Tuesday.

SC ordered Ayub Medical college to continue the process of appointment of dean as per law remarking the other appointments be also made against their vacancies following the appointment of Dean.

Service tribunal had imposed fine of Rs 5 lac on Ayub Medical college for not implementing court's orders.

Tribunal had declared appointment process during temporary charge of dean as illegal

The matter of appointment of department head was challenged in service tribunal.
